For this assignment I tweeted Rob Gronkowski Interview on why he came out of retirement and joined the Tampa Bay Buckaneers. Check out my Twitter below or at the link above for a better understanding on what happened during this interview.
I used a journalistic approach. I wanted to give information regarding football. There were some opportunities to use humor, but I would not have been able to keep that up. Going back and forth would not have been good. Using the journalistic approach gave me more opportunity to practice for further endeavors.
I was definitely nervous while tweeting. My spelling is awful, would my timing be ok. I felt like I missed opportunities because I wasn’t fast enough. I did however enjoy the challenge of it and being creative in what I posted. I liked the energy drink one and was proud of myself for knowing who sponsored him.
If I were to tweet again, I would have to stick to things I absolutely know. I found myself hesitating because I wasn’t confident in spelling and or facts. I see why it is so important to be prepared.
Yes, I need to know how to tweet. This is how the youth is getting their information, as a communications major it is my responsibility to use the media are youth is using to get information. This platform allows information to get out there quickly and in short bits that the younger generation appreciates.
